Rules Post

The mechanics of this challenge are really simple: from February 21 to March 4, we will collect prompts in all eligible fandoms. Then we'll post the full list of prompts, and people will have until the end of March to write or draw something that fits the prompts. Post whatever you've made in the community, and you're done!

About making prompts:

The structure of the prompts is really flexible. You need to include the fandom and the characters, but apart from that you're welcome to make your prompt as minimalist or as detailed as you'd like. We'll have examples on the prompt-collection post. :3

All the characters in your prompts should identify as female in their canon. In cases where it's not clear, we are inclined to be generous -- if you have a character in one of your fandoms who might be a trans woman or might be a crossdressing man, and the canon handles it in an unhelpful way, then you are welcome to include prompts in which she is a trans woman.

Crossovers are permitted, as long as at least one character in the pairing comes from a qualifying fandom (anime, manga, manhua, manhwa, video games). Please include the full names of all the fandoms in the crossover!

At this time we are not accepting prompts with female versions of characters who were male in their canon; we might do a challenge for that in the future, if people are interested.

About filling prompts:

You don't have to make a claim to fill a prompt -- and yes, that means that more than one person can end up filling the same one. More takes on the idea are awesome!

All fic and art posted for this challenge should feature at least two female-identified characters in a romantic and/or sexual relationship. That "and/or" means that (a) you are welcome to write women who are having sex without being emotionally attached to each other, and (b) you are welcome to do romantic-but-asexual interpretations of prompts.

Fic posted for the challenge should be at least 500 words, and art should be at least a cleaned-up sketch. Before posting starts, we will put up a post with the standard headers we would like used for posting here.

Please do post directly to the community; don't just link back to your own journal. You are welcome to cross-post anywhere you'd like. AO3 users, we're planning to set up a collection and we'd love to have you include your works there.

If you need hosting space for an art piece (or an AO3 invite), PM [personal profile] cypher with your email address, and we'll get things worked out for you.

And in general:

We want this challenge to be fun for as many people as possible, and we want everyone to feel comfortable here! We expect all participants to be respectful of other people's identities and preferences at all times. Not liking somebody else's pairing or kink or style is no excuse for being a jerk. So don't do that.

I maxed out my 25, unless I displace some, but I just thought: are crossovers okay, or should pairings/groupings be within a fandom?

We included this in the post actually! But I'll go ahead and quote it for you. ^^

Oops I'd missed that somehow. Sorry and thanks.
